They say a problem shared is a problem halved. This is your chance to write into PRN with your nursing related questions, issues or dilemmas. Respecting confidentiality and anonymity, we share your problems and ask the nursing community for advice.

We start with a problem from Kate, a newly qualified nurse from Essex:

"I work on a really busy ward and I never seem to leave on time or get my breaks and I'm starting to feel really tired and fed up. I don't know how to tell my ward sister how I feel as I'm new and I don't want to get into trouble. Can you give me some advice on how to talk to her?"
